September 13, 2024 - Livelihood Orientation and Scouting of Recipients for the Carinderia Package (Barangay Kay-Anlog Resident Recipients). —  A Livelihood Orientation and Scouting of Recipients for the Carinderia Package was held in Barangay Kay-Anlog. This event, organized to uplift the local community, was led by the City Livelihood and Development Department (CLDD). The program focused on providing aspiring entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools to successfully start and manage their own carinderias, a common type of food business in the Philippines .


The training session was conducted by skilled trainers from the CLDD office, who shared their expertise on various aspects of running a food business, such as managing daily operations, preparing budgets, and implementing effective marketing strategies. Participants were also introduced to best practices in maintaining food quality and hygiene, ensuring that their future businesses meet industry standards. The orientation aimed to equip the recipients with the skills they need to thrive in the competitive food industry while promoting sustainable livelihoods.

In addition to the training, the event also served as a scouting opportunity to identify potential recipients of the Carinderia Package. The participants, mostly women from Barangay Kay-Anlog, expressed their eagerness to take part in the program. This initiative highlights CLDD's commitment to fostering inclusive economic growth in local communities, empowering individuals, and encouraging entrepreneurship as a means of improving their quality of life.
