CLDD Livelihood Training: Fish Processing (Bottled Gourmet Spanish-Style Sardines)

August 19,2024 (ADHIKA PALAO and Online Registrants) —  A Fish Processing Training focused on producing Bottled Gourmet Spanish-Style Sardines was conducted, over 20 enthusiastic participants from the Adhika Palao community and online registrants. This training was organized to teach the participants the intricacies of fish preservation and gourmet food preparation, providing them with the skills needed to create high-quality, marketable products. The event was a part of the Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department(CLDD) ongoing efforts to enhance local livelihood opportunities through practical, skills-based training .


The session was led by expert trainers from the CLDD office, who provided in-depth guidance on every step of the process, from selecting the freshest sardines to achieving the perfect balance of flavors in the Spanish-style marinade. Participants were also educated on the importance of proper canning techniques to ensure the safety and longevity of the product. With hands-on activities and personalized instruction, the trainees were able to gain confidence in their ability to produce gourmet sardines that meet high standards of taste and quality.

This initiative highlights the commitment of both the CLDD office and the Adhika Palao community to fostering economic empowerment through skill development.
