August 16,2024 (DIY TOTE BAG MAKING, Cldd Training Center - Day 1) —  Day 1 of the DIY Tote Bag Making Workshop at the CLDD Training Center marked the beginning of an exciting hands-on learning experience for participants who registered online. The workshop, led by skilled trainers from the CLDD office, started with an introduction to the basics of tote bag making. Participants were introduced to the tools and materials needed, such as fabrics, threads, and sewing equipment, setting the foundation for the creative sessions ahead .

The trainers provided in-depth demonstrations on measuring, cutting, and sewing techniques, ensuring that even those with no prior experience could follow along confidently. Participants were encouraged to experiment with different fabric types and patterns, allowing them to personalize their tote bags from the very start. The trainers emphasized precision and patience, guiding the attendees through each step of the process while offering tips on how to avoid common mistakes.

As the session progressed, participants began working on their own tote bags, applying the skills they had just learned. The atmosphere was one of focus and collaboration, with participants sharing ideas and helping each other with tricky parts of the project. By the end of Day 1, attendees had completed the initial stages of their tote bags and left the training center eager to return for Day 2, where they would continue refining their creations. This workshop is part of CLDD's ongoing mission to provide practical, skill-based training that empowers individuals in the community.
