CLDD is a local government department in the City of Calamba which, in close partnership with stakeholders, aims to aid, develop, and sustain MSMEs and eligible livelihood beneficiaries to achieve self-sufficiency and economic well-being of Calambeños.
It achieves these through:
- Promotion and strengthening of cooperative movement, entrepreneurship, and self-sufficiency among Calambeños;
- Provision of markets and linkages, a credit facility, livelihood programs, capacity development, and facilities; and
- Assistance in product and process development and market research.
By the year 2028, CLDD is the model cooperative and livelihood office in the country enabling MSMEs and livelihood organizations to become a major provider of basic goods and services in the City of Calamba.
