Calamba City, Laguna (October 6, 2023) — First half of the cooperative month trade fair ran from October 2 to 6, 2023, at the lobby near the City Treasury Management Office, Calamba City Hall.

Cooperatives showcased their food and non-food products in this event organized by the city government's cooperative development office, Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department (CLDD). The first day of the fair hit ₱71,178.00 in total sales.

The participating cooperatives were as follows:

  1.   Likhang Kamay ng Kalambenyo Producers Cooperative
  2.   Solid Engtekkers Multipurpose Cooperative
  3.   Couples for Christ Multipurpose Cooperative Laguna 1
  4.   Mabato Coffee and HVC Agriculture Cooperative
  5.   Brgy. Burol Organic Agriculture Cooperative
  6.   Calamba City Employees Multipurpose Cooperative
  7.   Calamba Entrepreneurs Society Marketing Cooperative
  8.   Calambuhayan Marketing Cooperative

The following week was to feature concessionaires not belonging to any cooperatives. Nevertheless, cooperatives are known for their voluntarism and inclusivity. Much like cooperatives, these micro businesses also strived to have their share in the market against online commerce. The city government, through CLDD, continued to support these entrepreneurs from providing a venue to promote their products to facilitating their competitiveness in various modes of reaching their target consumers by facilitating various business operations training, as well as product testing services.
