Calamba City MSMEs explores franchise investments with PFA

February 15, 2024 (Calamba City Hall, Laguna) — Cooperatives and Livelihood Development Department (CLDD), in continuous partnership with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) - Laguna and the Calamba Business Chamber (CBC), assisted the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) in conducting a seminar entitled, “Be Your Own Boss: How to Invest in the Right Franchise Seminar in Calamba, Laguna."


Featuring expert speakers and interactive sessions, the conference equipped budding entrepreneurs with the knowledge they needed to make well-informed decisions about franchise investments. Calamba City MSMEs and/or their representatives left with significant insights.


Ms. Sherill R. Quintana, CFE, CBC Charter President and PFA Director for Membership, delivered the opening remarks while the activity was marked by messages from CLDD Department Head Leonardo F. Opulencia, Sr., PhD. 


Mr. Joey Dionaldo, Franchise Consultant of U-Franchise Sales and Marketing, provided participants with overview and insights to investing in the right franchise. Other than U-Franchise, other franchise managers, supervisors, and/or consultants of various businesses like 7-Eleven, The Generics Pharmacy, Minute Burger, and BBQ Bob also shared their expertise in the field of business franchising.
